Professional Statement
Dr. Glen Ross is an Orthopedic Surgeon, and director of education for Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). He is also on staff at Boston Outpatient Surgery Center, and Mount Auburn Hospital. He is the founder and director of the New England Shoulder and Elbow Center within ProSports Orthopedics.
In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Ross holds academic appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, and at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has authored numerous articles, with over 35 publications in leading Orthopaedic journals. Additionally, Dr. Ross has lectured extensively, both locally and internationally.
He is a member of several specialty societies, including the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. His numerous awards include the Bill Southmayd teaching award, and a Neer award nominee for outstanding shoulder research.
Dr. Ross is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital, after earning his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He is a retired Captain in the Naval Medical Corps Reserve, having served for 25 years.
A specialist in shoulder and elbow disorders, Dr. Ross has research, and clinical interests, in upper extremity injuries, and conditions. He has extensive experience in treatment of shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder arthroscopy, and instability. His elbow expertise includes disorders of tendons and ligaments, arthritis, and elbow arthroscopy.
